My journey to becoming a massage therapist began in 2014, after suffering many injuries from running and training.

I joined a Bikram yoga class in Northville to condition my body back to health.  Through the beautiful practice of yoga, I discovered so many things about the human body; the way my body moved; how my muscles, fascia, ligaments worked and stretched in yoga poses; how my mind and body connected and controlled my well-being.

After 3 years of practicing yoga and meditation, traveling to India and experiencing the heart of the Yoga world in Rishikesh, in the foothills of the Himalayas, I decided I wanted to learn and explore more.

In 2017, I entered a yoga immersion program, training daily in the art of yoga and meditation practices.  Within 6 months I received my 200 hours in Yoga Teacher Training, specializing in meditation, Yin and Ashtanga Yoga.

My journey into massage therapy and manual lymphatic drainage is a very personal one. As a teenager I noticed swelling in my left leg that would increase as the day progressed. I saw doctors about it, who simply told me to watch my sodium intake. I have always been conscientious of diet and exercise, so I knew it was much more than this.

When I became a massage therapist, as a result of wanting to understand my personal injuries from running, I discovered manual lymphatic drainage. I instantly made the connection between this modality and the swelling I continued to experience as a teenager into adulthood. I learned I had a chronic venous insufficiency that would never go away, but if I didn’t take care of it, could turn into lymphedema. Anyone who suffers from lymphedema understands the emotional and physical impacts of this disease. It is frustrating, heartbreaking and takes planned daily care to keep on top of it.

I am grateful for my experiences; they have taken me on a journey of personal healing, and most importantly gratification, knowing that my hands and heart can help others.

I look forward to helping you find healing and wellness, whether it’s through manual lymphatic drainage, endermologie or other massage modalities.

More About Me

My passion for learning about the body and wellness grew stronger, and from there, I chose to attain my massage therapy license.

My goal has always been to help people feel well, find peace through wellness in mind and body.  In 2018, I attended the Flint School of Therapeutic Massage, studying the history and fundamentals of massage therapy, along with numerous modalities: Swedish, Prenatal, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Polarity, and Shiatsu. My goal is to use massage and lymphatic drainage to treat those with chronic conditions, and the need to find balance and wellness through mindful relaxation.

Further, I have studied clinical medical and oncology massage therapy through the Beaumont Hospital Department of Integrative Medicine, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction and Manual Lymphatic Drainage through Irene’s Myomassology Institute.  I am a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, specializing in Manual Lymphatic Drainage techniques and Complete Decongestive Therapy. I have completed the Advanced Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) – Management of Post Plastic Surgery Procedures course through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. I am also a Certified Endermologie Technician.

I offer massage to all, using a variety of modalities, incorporating my passion for mindfulness and human connection.  I look forward to helping you. I continue to study and broaden my skills and knowledge, to use massage and manual therapies as a holistic form of treatment and for relaxation.
